LA118S subwoofers units high power woofer which is twice than normal magnetic circuit. Its voice coil and magnet are also twice than regular woofers.
LA118S is a vented design with a pre-positive horn. Then vented hole works as the entrance of the horn,and the subwoofer frontage as exit. This design has excellently enhanced the vented tube's output efficiency,increased the output of LF,and also decreased the non-linear distortion. Pre-positive horn helps to maintain the transient response,speed and thickness in LF at the same time.
Meanwhile,the driver's magnet part exposes in the horn,which enables the airflow blows to the magnet and speaker frame directly,so as to effectively decrease temperature in high power condition,and ease the speaker's power compression.
The resonant frequency of LA118S woofer is 25Hz,the low-harmonic frequency design enables LA118S lower limit to 28Hz to gain a deep and resilient sense of hearing. LA118S has 4 handle cups on both sides, 4 rubber feet on the bottom and 4 feet holes to make it convenient for stack use. The speaker is finished with black textured water paint, and constructed by 24mm and 18mm plywood. The speaker is covered with hexagon grill, with black sponge to protect the drivers.
