Samsung I7110 S60 Smartphone

Oct 23,2008

It seems that you don't necessarily need a touchscreen or a keyboard to be considered a true smartphone, so long as you offer smartphone functionality. Nokia's been doing that for years with its N-series multimedia phones, so it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Samsung is doing the same. What sets the Samsung I7110 apart from other smartphones on the market, however, is that it happens to have a large 2.6-inch AMOLED display. This technology is supposed to provide some rather impressive visuals with vibrant, organic-looking colors. Other noted specs on this Symbian S60-powered handset include 3G HSDPA, quad-band GSM/EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, microSDHC support, a front-facing camera for video calls, and a 5-megapixel camera for high-resolution snapshots. Samsung plans on launching this hot little number in Russia this November. The rest of the world will get its mitts on the Samsung I7110 shortly thereafter.
