A low-cost alternative mobile phone

Konka electronics recently unveiled a cheap alternative for people on the go with their new line of hybrid mobile phones that feature both wireless landline and GSM service in one handset. “For our line of mobile phones, Konka has initially launched two models with a seamless ‘dual-SIM, dual active’ operation; the exceptionally stylish E222 and the business-oriented T808,” the company said in a press statement. The company revealed that in the first few months of its release, the E222 and the T808 units went far beyond their sales targets; faster than they expected. Konka boasted the units’ capability to handle two sim cards (landline and GSM), at the same time without having to switch the units off. The two lines are completely and simultaneously ready and on standby. The E222 features a touch screen function and 1.3-megapixel camera while the T808 has been described as the “must-have” dual SIM mobile phone for the tech-savvy executive, because its numerous PDA functions, 3G, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel camera and even free-TV channels.
